TEXT2PARK Description

TEXT2PARK®, which allows people to park and pay with their smartphones, provides lot managers and owners with real-time data and enforcement tools. It's the easiest way to make parking easy for surface lot owners. It's the last thing you want to do after you pull into a parking space is to download an app and enter all of the setup information. TEXT2PARK allows parkers to simply text a P-Code and visit a website. This will take them to a secure website where they can enter their plate number and credit card information. After they have left, they can add their email to receive a receipt. They can also retrieve the receipt online if they need it later for an expense report.

    Terrible app

    Summary: No public parking authority should consider this app for the public. This app can appear to be fraudulent and discourages user participation.

    Positive: Nothing positive about my user experience. The app was rejected by safari and suggested it could be fraudulent.

    Negative: It doesn’t work and s not user friendly. Apparently the originator of this project has not given much attention to the user experience.

    Boarderline fraudulent

    Summary: Not happy with this company. I will file a formal complaint with BBB. Not happy at all that I have to write excessively in order to make this formal complaint about how horrible this parking company is

    Positive: Convenient parking to where I live. Access to parking easy. Signage not sufficient though. Relatively easy to use mobile payment method.

    Negative: Customer service. Switched parking management companies without any notice to me and did not honor my parking privileges that I had paid them $188.10 to use from July 16, 2023 until August 16, 2024. Received an "umauthorized vehicle" citation in the amount of $52.00 from Diamond Parking. Filed a complaint/appeal with Diamond Parking Service. My appeal was "denied."

    Drives customers away

    Summary: Truly horrible process - instead of trying to “ticket” people who don’t have a smart phone with two security officers wandering the parking lot, have one person to take payment on exiting the lot.

    Positive: Nothing.

    Negative: This is my opinion, the app asks for too much info. Parking customers unable to figure out app. Given one “ticket” these customers decide to not shop at Ridge Hill ever again. Horrible process - they treat parkers as criminals and they give out “private tickets” and threaten to boot cars - who in their right mind would shop at Ridge Hill again. TEXT2PARK, in my opinion, will drive shoppers away.
