    THE BEST CRM FOR PI ATTORNEYS

    Summary: Great crm, but even better service. Sean and Rebecca simply crush it.
    Every time I call they are always there to help and make sure we know what we are doing and guide us along the way.

    Positive: I can not stop raving about the system these guys created, which is, by far, the best CRM for personal injury attorneys.

    Summary: My overall experience is good. I have used multiple case management software for the different firms. SmartAdvocate has the most features that are helpful for case accessibility review, although there are several features that we do not use. We mainly use the document viewer for saving documents in the file. We also use the text and email features. We also use the negotiations tab. As we get more experience with SmartAdvocate, we are trying to integrate more features into daily use.

    Positive: I recently experienced benefits with the multiple tabs. I had to calculate the total attorney fees on a case. I had one tab open with case notes and one tab open with case documents. I was easily able to chronologically calculate the attorney fees as I correlated both tabs at the same time.

    The multiple tabs also are helpful when I receive an incoming call. I can do a quick search and pull up a new tab for that client. I won't have to close the tab I currently have open to access the client with the incoming call.

    Negative: Our office calendar had problems with the time. We are located in Central Time. I would save a new event as Central Time but it would change the event time to Eastern Time. As soon as I saved the event the hour changed. The attorney couldn't use the calendar because of that problem. I told the attorney that we would still have to use our Google Calendar so we could be sure of the correct time.

    A Clean, Customizable Experience

    Summary: Overall, this is a very well executed platform with a customizable experience. The small gripes are hardly a deal breaker.

    Positive: The platform is easy to use and navigate from Setup to Settlement. It’s designed in a straightforward manner with everything reasonably placed. Even someone unfamiliar with case management solutions could probably pick this up and jump into a workflow pretty quickly. Additionally, the ability to change what information is presented and where is a very useful feature.

    Negative: The system has a few issues that are holding it back. The file preview tools seem to be very sensitive about when and where they want to work. While Word documents almost never have issues with previewing, PDFs sometimes can’t be previewed. For a while, HEIF documents weren’t supported well; I’m not sure if this has since been fixed. It would be great if medical bills could be copied to liens more efficiently instead of one item at a time. The calendar events are very useful, but when you delete a series, it doesn’t automatically remove it from your outlook calendar. Instead, it updates it to say “Deleted”. Perhaps it’s not possible, but it seems like it would be.

    Summary: It is my first time using it. It was really easy to learn hot to use is. I love that I can print all reports and they continue being link to SA. I like the text messages and how everything is on sight. It is easy for larger teams to be all in the same page.

    Positive: I have everything on sight, very easy to access and to retrieve information. Also, super easy to combine with Outlook.

    Negative: It would be nice if you could set a font and font size for your account only one time.

    Summary: The people behind the company are FANTASTIC! They are prompt, responsive, helpful and truly knowledgeable on how to get the software to work best for your firm. Our rep is Sean Parker, JD. It seems we always call him in a crisis and he immediately finds an answer or solution for us. He puts us in contact with whoever is the best person within the company and they immediately help our firm. Sean’s direct number is 239-398-3703 and his email is sean@smartadvocate.com. If you need a case management software for your firm, you have to at least speak to Sean to see how it can greatly improve your productivity, organization, reduce the time it takes to move a case, keep your staff on task and help take some of the load off of you!

    Positive: It is truly such a powerful software. It has an office calendar, a case calendar, you can tag certain staff members, email anyone associated with the case, keep track of all the case details, all the case expenses, all the case contacts, it has automated features, you can create custom reports and automate them. It can notify you when a case meets a certain stage. You can fully customize the stages and steps of a case. It has workplans, you can automate the workplans, it can automatically assign work to certain staff members at certain times. The list goes on and on.

    Negative: It is complex and requires training to set it up. It takes time and a lot of thought in designing the software to your firm.

    Amazing Integration

    Summary: Amazingly well integrated product. Can't wait to see where it is heading. Especially with the new technologies such as AI.

    Positive: Smart advocate has an almost flawless integration with Microsoft products. Which makes tasks such as drafting document with information already prefilled from the specific case you are working on to adding emails related to the case uploaded directly into the case notes.

    Negative: With some generated documents such as envelopes do not populate with the proper addresses or will not auto generate the actual envelope.
