MESA Description

MESA is a cutting-edge software package that offers a complete set of tools to optimize onshore, offshore and transition zone survey design, planning, and optimization. Data acquisition is the core of the seismic lifecycle. It is crucial that accurate decisions are made right from the beginning of the acquisition design process. To accurately analyze the imaging objectives of seismic projects, you need flexible and robust survey design tools. MESA software meets these needs for both marine and land projects. It streamlines the planning and survey design process. Field-proven on land, with a towed streamer and OBS survey designs; also multi-component or VSP surveys.

    MESA Design n Analyses Software

    Date: Mar 19 2023

Summary: It is certainly a valuable tool for all the field geophysicists in acquisition projects, either for design or analyses of the data acquired.

Positive: Excellent coverage and complete package for any Seismic Operator to come out with a seismic field layout option to meet the geological mapping expectations of the clients, internal and external. Additional simulation of geophysical attributes make it a valuable tool for the management before actually implementing any acquisition project.

Negative: Certain features and the related navigation within the software is cumbersome for use. And also, some edits warrant a total re-work thereby taking unnecessarily longer time.
