Summary: I started in 2014 to use SOPlanning in a productive environment, replacing pen & paper on a flip chart. Great success. Collaboration of workgroups in 3 different countries is now possible. Cannot imagine a life without it now.

Positive: Easy to use.
Easy to customize.
Easy to install.
Based on well known basics (apache, mysql, php).
User just needs a browser, no other software required. Makes it possible to use on different platforms (not limited to Windows)
Project is alive, constant development. Existing support.

Negative: Recently the team has fixed some bugs shortly after release of a version by replacing some files under the same release number. That behaviour is difficult to track. Would be more professional to publish even small fixes as a new release number.

Summary: Overall we have used it a lot in our organisation, but mostly for leave and holiday registering as we are a production industry.

Positive: Runs locally on own server.
Good support.
Flexible design.
Possible to enter your own holidays.
No user cap.
If you want a feature, you can make it yourself, or pitch your suggestions to the developers.

Negative: Some bugs persist.
Design is moderate, room for improvement.

Summary: I use SOPlanning everyday and now I need it. It can't do without it. I do not want to change of software.

Positive: It's simple to use and reliable. I enjoy it. The design is a bit has been but it's not a problem. I find it easy to read.

Negative: I don't know who is the contact if i need help. But it's only when upgrading application.

Summary: It helped us when we needed to setup something quickly and easily to track what everyone was doing. For the setup part, the instructions were clear and up to date so everything went smoothly.
From my user experience, I can tell that putting my datas into the calendar was quick and I didn't have to fight against the product to get things done.

Positive: Soplanning was simple to setup for our team and it provided a very good start to plan and to see what others had planned for the weeks to come.

Negative: The user interface was efficient but not that "modern" from a style perspective.

Summary: I recommend it for the people who are using an Excel spreadsheet with the resources allocated week by week.

The tool will efficiently replace it and provides as bonus, notifications, and some metrics.

Positive: I like the global overview of the resources and on which project they are allocated.

It replaces efficiently an Excel spreadsheet to manage my consulting resources and to track who is currently available for a new mission.

PHP + Mysql is easy to install.

Negative: Some actions are still complex to perform or tedious.

Summary: An easy way to start to plan your team and very useful to have a clear view of the task distribution in my company.

Positive: Easy to Setup and Use. It can be also accessed by your mobile phone calendar. Excellent new teams feature.

Negative: Some issue on authorizations and linked task off the teams.
