We also created some additional (implicit) design restrictions, loosely following Adwaita’s principles. The Settings Manager received a visual overhaul of its filter box. It can now be hidden permanently. The search capabilities of the filterbox were also improved by searching the 'Comments" part of each dialog's launcher file (aka.desktop). This dialog combines the previously available Mime Settings' with the 'Preferred Applications’ dialogs. Users will find it easier to set default applications to handle files if they are combined in one place. -
