PDF Archtect Support went from Best to Worst

    Date: Jun 16 2024

Summary: PDF Architect 7 actually a delight to work with and I have used it for a dozen years. Only contacted support three or four times in the whole period, usually for billing / activation problems which were handled in 48 hours.
Now charged for features I neither wanted nor would used and it's impossible to contact a human being to straighten it out.

Positive: Only contact PDF support three or four times in a dozen years.
I still use PDF Architect 7, as I found all the upgrades suffering from severe feature bloat.
Always received a swift and helpful reply within 48 hours.
They have gone to a new billing/support system another useless bot.
I recently renewed my license and though I only wanted basic renewal, they have charged me for OCR and other features I specifically did not want. Maybe there was default feature addition in the small print. I'm not sure.
Try to contact support, which is no longer supported, I redirected to their bot.
Naturally, there was no answer to my FAQs and after drilling through the menus, there was a Contact Us via Email link.
Which I clicked on. Filled out the field. An pressed Submit.
    Guess what?
    The feature didn't work!
    Of course.
    I'll try again later.

Negative: Charged for features I didn't want.
Impossible to correct Billing Support to disconnect and obtain a refund.

The Worst Company for Taking Our Money

    Date: May 15 2024

Summary: Great Software - But they just take subscriptions even when they have been stopped or even sorted by their own people. I have had this 3 times in 2024 now.

    Positive: Great Software.

Negative: Charging my credit card even when stopped.

Won't let you do even basic tasks without activation ($$$)

    Date: Mar 27 2024

Summary: Misleading advertising and loss of time. I'd rather do the work again than pay to be able to save my work on supposedly free software.

Positive: Easy to convert to pdf and merge files. easy to download and setup. can't find any other positive things to say about this misleading scam

Negative: Can't save your work unless you upgrade to paid version. was supposed to be free, but free version is so crippled it's useless. always asking you to upgrade or activate.

    EXCELLENT BUT E-SIGN NO WAY

    Edited: Feb 20 2024

Summary: Exemption made to E-Sign PDF Architect used to be the best!
When You solve this issue of SSL error 35, enabling the user to sign documents without running internet risks, kindly let customers know.
If there is any other way to sign without internet, just working with software, kindly please instruct me.

Positive: Second to none, thanks to FORGE, allowing this communication. Have been successfully using PDF Architect plenty of success, al time long.

Negative: When bought E-Sign, it did not work SSL error 35. No way do disconnect antivirus/firewall for working with. What a deception. Also, there is not any instruction on how to address this. That is why features is noted 1.

    The worst experience ever

    Date: Jan 31 2024

Summary: I will never buy something from this company again. I prefer to pay twice the price and still using Adobe Acrobat... at least I know it work with the minimum acceptable quality, and it cannot be said about PDF Architect.

Positive: Price was the main pro, but this did fall in the first two days when it was supposed to work with the minimum features as Adobe Acrobat does.

Negative: Program features are much less inferior than described, it is not ease to use nor interactive, nor configurable, it is heavy and slow even if we compare with Adobe Acrobat, the OCR features are useless. But the main thing, the absolute "Good-For-Nothing" is the technical support = I tried to receive some information, created a ticket, waited for weeks for some new, and then they simply cannot wait for some days until I try to perform the "solution" they suggested? In time, the suggestion does not work, but again... they will never know simply 'cause the ticket was cancelled! Congratulation guys, this product sucks!

    Poor customer service.

    Date: Jan 11 2024

Summary: Can't use the product, can't activate the product. Can't reach anyone at customer service for months.

Positive: Nothing! Can not get it registered, can not use it, can not get a response from customer service. A waste of money for nothing.

Negative: I can not get customer service to activate my software. FAQs do not help. Customer service basically says see FAQs. Repeated request for help email reply says they are busy with other customers...they have responded to repeated request for months. Nobody doing anything for months! Customer service does not exist!

    PDF Architect review

    Date: Sep 06 2023

Summary: We talked, and everything seemed fine. You can take them without my consent instantly, but it seems you forget to return them.

    Positive: N/A.

Negative: I'm starting to get upset already, I've been waiting for the return of the 80 euros for three weeks, when you said it would take a maximum of 10 days.

    Horrific Product

    Date: Jul 25 2023

Summary: Just pay for Adobe Acrobat instead - you will receive a much better product and a better service for you to use.

Positive: Cheaper than Acrobat and is a basic version of this. It looks like adobe acrobat just to remind you of the service you should be buying.

Negative: This is the worst configured product I have ever seen. If you are planning on using this for a company or multiple users, STAY WELL AWAY. Do not purchase this product under any circumstances - you will regret it when you have to start troubleshooting this incompetent product. Even assigning licenses is an absolute pain because nothing works about it. This product and service has had about 5 minutes put in to it during the design process. PLEASE DO NOT BUT OR WASTE ANY FORM OF MONEY ON IT!

The program gets worse every new version

    Date: Jun 27 2023

Summary: Hate it nowadays, just does not work, is the worst program I ever used after the update 9 version, just like that, asks for password for every document, documents that do not have this feature, it is making me crazy.

Positive: I used to like very much the features, but after the 5 version the new one' s change not only the design but presented bugs over bugs.

Negative: Nowadays the pro version is not working simply like that. I paid to much money for this product and would like to continue the free version, because the pro ones are useless.

Summary: Thus far my experience has been a total and incredibly annoying disaster. Terrible. Atrocious. I think I'll go to Adobe.....

Positive: As I haven't been able to ACTIVATE my account I can't say what the Pros are.
I bought the product but I'm told I don't have the correct password and the numerals I am sent DON"T CORRECT the problem.

Negative: I am unable to ACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT.
I don't know how good/bad the program is......

    Problem with Free Version

    Date: Apr 20 2023

Summary: Looking for a free program what will merge pdf files offline. PDF Architect claims to support merging with their free version - but it hasn't worked for me - so far.

If there's something I'm missing, please let me know, and I'll update this - and apologize.

Positive: Per their website, PDF Architect the Free Version supports merging PDF files. And the merge interface is relatively easy to use.

Negative: Attempting to merge PDF files with the Free Version requires "activation" - and payment. It appears to be impossible to save a merged PDF with the free version.

    Good product, terrible support!

    Date: Mar 14 2023

Summary: After years of being a customer, and having chronic problems with both ordering and billing, I have concluded that this is basically a dishonest company, and I will no longer purchase their products.

They have no accountability, and there is no way for a customer to resolve a problem, even after weeks and weeks of trying. No tech support or customer support either. No phone number to call... just

    Strong 'Don't buy' recommendation!

Positive: This product does everything I need it to do, and at a competitive price. I switched from Adobe Acrobat Pro primarily because of Adobe's price gouging.

I have not discovered anything I need to do that can't be done with PDF Architect (except reach their customer support!)

Negative: Terrible customer support, virtually non-existent. My order was screwed up and the company cannot be reached to fix it after numerous tries.

Also, the ordering process added things (features), I didn't want to my order, which doubled the price, and you couldn't tell until after committing to the order payment. After the fact, no one at the company can be reached, or is wiling to respond.

    Positive: None.

    Negative: Order no. UQKEDHM9
