Markdown Journal
Markdown Journal is a simple journal. It uses Dropbox as back-end storage and saves your entries to Markdown files. Your journal is yours to control. All entries are saved in your Dropbox for good. All entries can be retained even if you stop using Markdown Journal. Because your work will always be in your Dropbox as plain text files, there is no export function. Signing up is not necessary. You can click Write to immediately start taking notes if you have a Dropbox account. Markdown Journal will ask you to connect with your Dropbox account if you haven’t logged in for a while. Each month a new file is created. Any of these files can be edited directly using a text editor, if desired. You can edit or delete them at any moment. Markdown Journal doesn't care about what you do with them. The same Markdown formatting is retained when the entry is saved to Dropbox.

Dillinger is a cloud-enabled HTML5 Markdown editor that can be used offline and is powered by AngularJS. Markdown is a lightweight markup languages that uses the same formatting conventions as email. Dropbox and iCloud allow you to create documents in Byword on your Mac, and then access them on your iPad or iPhone. You can also do the reverse. They can be edited from any location, on any device. Markdown support is available in Byword. You can preview your documents in the app, export to HTML or PDF, or publish directly on Medium, WordPress Blogger, Tumblr, Evernote, and Tumblr. Technical limitations and limited development resources are the reasons rich text support is not available. We are currently evaluating the benefits and costs of rich text support for iOS. Joplin is an open-source note taking and todo application that can manage a large number notes in a notebook. You can search the notes and copy, tag, and modify them from either the application or your own text editor. The notes are in Markdown format. Joplin can import Evernote notes via.enex files. This includes the formatted content (which has been converted to Markdown), resources (images and attachments, etc.). Complete metadata (geolocation and updated time, created times, etc.) Plain Markdown files are also possible to be imported. The notes can be synchronized using various cloud services such as Nextcloud, Dropbox and OneDrive.
