Summary: I have been using Manage Engine OpManager in my current as well as past two organisations. I have found this product to be very useful in monitoring mid-range environments. It is positioned as a mid-to-upper-tier tool (not ultra-premium) that aims to strike a balance between features and cost. Overall the product is fruitful.

Positive: 1) User-friendly interface.
2) Customizable and flexible reporting options.
3) Multiple Software Integration for end-to-end monitoring and troubleshooting.
4) Informative User Dashboard, even customizable.
5) The device can be added by using multiple protocols.
6) Alerting & threshold-based notifications.
7) We have used it for monitoring of network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, servers, VMs, etc.
8) The proactive dashboard visualises the health status.
9) Value for money.

Negative: 1) Upgrades without technical support team involvement are a bit risky (some features break), with downtime or issues, especially when skipping versions or following wrong steps for the same.
2) On-call support could have been a better option for end users.

Summary: Overall, highly satisfactory. Would like to suggest adding AI-driven reports and predictive analysis capabilities.

Positive: The product is highly reliable, exceptionally user-friendly, and provides clear, informative features while remaining impressively cost-effective, offering great value for money.

Negative: Nothing specific. However, reporting and analysis should be straightforward and easy to customize.

OpManager is a success because it can do workflow, monitor SNMP traps and do SNMP monitoring with a decent customized NOC view and dashboard.

The failover server may take a while, easily a minute or 2.
Also, it does not support SNMP Set.

Summary: Overall the ManageEngine OpManager has lot of features. Network mapping and visualization helps in depicting your network infra. Its firewall analyzer helps in analyzing the firewall logs and network packets. It helps in monitoring the bandwidth usage too. OpManager manages and monitor the routers, LAN controllers and switches. The platform is stable and reliable.

Positive: 1. ManageEngine OpManager monitors the health, availability and performance of the network and hardware devices.
2. Network administrators get deep insights on how the devices are performing thus helping in troubleshooting and resolving network outages before hand.

It monitors the server CPU, memory, threads, storage space and even it provides database level insights. The network team monitors the network packets and bandwidth consumption through OpManager. Positive: 1. Real time monitoring of network devices is possible with multiple vendor support. The vendor can be Dell, Cisco, HP, etc.
2. Server monitoring can be done easily may it be physical server or a virtual machine on Hyper-V or VMware.
3. ManageEngine OpManager monitors end to end network infra and data center operations.

Negative: There are no disadvantages. OpManager is available for desktops and mobile applications is also available for remote monitoring. It can integrate with other ManageEngine products. The support from ManageEngine is good. Thus you get a centralized dashboard with all the devices and IT operations being monitored.

Summary: It is a powerful tool to monitor all your hardware devices. All our load balancers, firewalls and routers are managed through OpManager. We observe the network packet movement through it. So if there are any issues we get to know it early thus resolving the issue at the earliest. This has helped us to reduce our turn around time and debugging time.

Positive: 1. ManageEngine OpManager is being widely used all over. We are using it for application monitoring, network monitoring, hardware devices monitoring and more.
2. The bandwidth usage and consumption can be easily monitored and thus provides idea to Network admins on how much bandwidth pipe would be required from future perspective.
3. All our servers physical and VM are monitored using OpManager and thus whenever CPU, memory and space crunch happens we get alerts.

Negative: The product is superb, however
1. Configuration can be done by trained professionals on OpManager.
2. Training may be required to understand the advanced features.
3. The pricing is somewhat on higher side.

Summary: OpManager is very useful. The real time monitoring, centralized dashboard and alert mechanism are its core properties. Dashboards are easy to understand and can be customized. Technical tickets can be raised for any issues and turn around time is also good from ManageEngine team. Altogether a great product.

Positive: ManageEngine OpManager is a powerful platform for monitoring and observability of the network devices. It provides a deep visibility into the performance of devices like firewalls, LAN controllers, servers, Virtual machines, routers, switches, printers and more. This monitoring provides results and reports in graphical formats for better understanding and then decisions can be taken based on this, thus helping to arrive at a root cause.

Negative: Being a useful tool, there are no dislikes for it. We are using it for monitoring all our servers, the CPU, memory and storage monitoring helps us in keeping our server health good. Further, it also helps you know the availability of the server, whether it is up or not. Network packet monitoring can also be done and helps in getting to know about the packet loss if any.
