    Remoting in made easy

    Summary: Overall experience was excellent. This was the first remote management solution my organization used (that wasn't just Remote Desktop) and it was and has been excellent the whole time. There are some extra features like performance reports and running processes you can get once connected, but the main point is remote access and/or unattended access, which it does very well.

    Positive: LogMeIn is to the point. You need software that lets you remote into a user's PC and allows unattended access as well? This is it. LogMeIn makes for a great primary method of remote management, and an excellent secondary or backup method in case your primary method isn't working right now. It doesn't really have the robust reporting and monitoring features that some of the other solutions out there do, but I have used it for many years and love it.

    Negative: There are a ton of user prompts you have to walk the person through accepting to get it to work, especially if you are running as an administrator. This was almost never a big deal though. I know it's also a bit expensive.

    Summary: On the whole, it is an easy to use, straight forward tool to provide support to desktop and mobile issues. It is a well-known product from a well-known brand so a lot of people are familiar with it and trust it. The website is also very clear and straight forward. I would gladly recommend it to anyone who does support.

    Positive: The pros are:
    1. LogMeIn is a well-known and a well-reputed brand so it is easy to identify and accept.
    2. There is very little need for training. You can learn the application as you use it.
    3. It provides you uninterrupted remote desktop and mobile access and a one-click flow to send across files from the technician’s computer to the customer's computer.
    4. The option to record the entire session and save it.

    Negative: Very few cons but two nagging issues are:
    1. The remote user's keyboard can sometimes become unresponsive.
    2. It's slightly on the expensive side and you also have good competitors so maybe LogMeIn should rethink their prices.
