AIR allows for fully-programmable shading and procedural modelling. By writing new functions in any programming language, users can extend the shading language.

ROCK Desktop, developed by ROCK Robotic, is a comprehensive LiDAR software for processing and visualizing data. It allows users to process raw data generated by ROCK LiDAR Systems, and offers enhanced trajectory processing as well as the ability to visualize large datasets in the field or the office. The software lets users compose areas, select view fields and ranges and includes features such as ROCK Ray-Trace Colourization and SLAM/SLAM Alignment. The free version is a point-cloud visualizer that can compress LiDAR files up to ten times. This allows for easier sharing and seamless synchronization between ROCK Cloud projects. Advanced calibration tools give users control over their data. They support both camera and LiDAR calibrating. Integration with ROCK Cloud allows users to access cloud processing power in a single click, increasing upload speed and allowing quick project sharing.

GPU path tracer is fast and easy to use. CentiLeo is a GPU renderer that integrates with Cinema 4D and 3ds Max. It supports GPU VRAM software extension, and has high efficiency for scenes with complicated lighting. For Cinema 4DCentiLeo is an off-line GPU renderer that can be used with 3ds Max or Cinema 4DC. It supports complex lighting and has very fast unbiased path tracking. It supports large scene assets using GPU-accelerated out of-core technology. This renders polygon counts, particles, and textures that may not be possible to fit into GPU memory. This feature increases the GPU memory limits for geometry/particles 4x and 100x for texture. CentiLeo supports Interactive Preview Render and node-based material/shader editing, motion blurring, subsurface scattering and fast noise reduction for multimaterials, glass objects, mesh lights, and multi-materials. It supports a wide range of file formats from digital content and scientific datasets to thumbnails, animations, and many rendering options, including real-time physically based rendering. It can be controlled from the command-line and supports configuration files. It can provide thumbnails and support interactive hotkeys. Drag&drop, integration into file managers, and integration with file managers are all possible. F3D contains libf3d as well, a simple library for rendering meshes. It has C++ and Python bindings as well as experimental Javascript and Javascript.

Solarius PV considers solar shading due to long-distance obstacles such as mountains, hills, buildings, trees, etc. It does this by simply taking a photograph and displaying the solar diagram at the installation site. Solarius PV allows you to see the effect of shading on PV modules by nearby obstacles such as walls, chimneys, antennas, etc., on the system layout. The solar path changes over time and can be adjusted accordingly. You can automatically manage shadow projection between parallel rows by calculating the minimum module row spacing for any surface type (horizontal vertical or tilted).
