Jami Description
Jami operates entirely on a peer-to-peer basis, eliminating the need for a central server to facilitate data exchanges among users. It is a GNU initiative supported by the Free Software Foundation and is available under the GPLv3 license. The platform employs advanced end-to-end encryption with perfect forward secrecy for all interactions, adhering to the X.509 standard for security. Users face no limitations regarding file sizes, transfer speeds, bandwidth, functionalities, account numbers, storage, or any other parameters. Furthermore, Jami is committed to remaining ad-free, ensuring an uninterrupted user experience. The direct peer-to-peer connectivity not only enhances transfer speeds but also minimizes latency significantly. Remarkably, users connected to the same local network can still communicate via Jami, even in the absence of an internet connection. This unique capability makes Jami an exceptional choice for secure and flexible communication.
