InnovationStation Description
Employees can access the Innovation Station application from any personal or company device, including their smartphone. Anyone can submit an idea, and anyone can vote and comment. This can be done anonymously. The innovator is allowed to start the investigation phase once the idea has received a predetermined number of votes. Sometimes, an executive might see an idea and accelerate it without voting. The innovator is given a period of 30 days and the resources to investigate and develop the idea. Finally, the idea is presented to executives. If the panel of judges approves the business case, the innovator moves to incubation. This allows for prototyping or small-scale testing, tweaking, and validation. Some ideas may not be successful. That's okay. Some ideas are more advanced than others, but the research has been done. Implementation is the final stage. This could be a new product, process improvement, or a change of status to Pass or Perish.
