IBIK ASTER Description

ASTER is a multiseat application designed for use with Windows 7/8/10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019. This software facilitates the establishment of multiple workstations at a lower cost, which has become particularly useful during the COVID-19 pandemic. By connecting multiple monitors, keyboards, and mice to a single computer, users can effectively create several distinct work environments. As a zero-client solution, ASTER enables the development of virtual desktop clients without the need for additional thin client hardware. This innovative approach not only saves money but also maximizes the use of existing resources. Ultimately, ASTER provides a practical and efficient way to adapt to changing work conditions.

Overall, it has helped increase productivity while simplifying day-to-day operations.

Aster is the winner in easy multi-seat setups

    Date: May 13 2026

Summary: My overall experience with Aster has been very positive. It is a powerful tool that allows you to fully utilize a single computer's processing power for multiple users at the same time. Despite the small inconvenience with restarts, its stability and easy configuration make it a top choice for this type of solution. It’s an ideal setup for both home and small office environments.

Positive: What I appreciate most about Aster is its remarkable ease of use. Setting up additional workstations on a single PC is intuitive and doesn't require advanced technical knowledge. The software runs stably, and the process of creating virtual seats is much simpler than using traditional virtual machines. It is a great, resource-saving solution that significantly cuts down on hardware costs.

Negative: The only minor drawback is the necessity to restart the entire computer in certain system-related situations. Sometimes, the standard sleep and wake-up cycle isn't enough to fully refresh all processes linked to the additional workstations, which forces a full PC reboot. Improving this in future updates would definitely enhance the overall flow of daily usage.

Excellent multiseat solution, much lighter than VMs

    Date: Mar 07 2026

Summary: I have been using ASTER to share my high-spec gaming rig with my family, and it works perfectly. We can both use the computer at the same time without any performance issues. It is a much better and lighter solution than setting up complex virtual machines with GPU passthrough. Highly recommended!

Positive: The ability to turn a single PC into two independent workstations is incredible. It saves a significant amount of money on hardware since I didn't need to buy a second CPU or motherboard. The drag-and-drop device assignment is very intuitive and works flawlessly with zero lag.

Negative: The initial configuration can be slightly confusing if you are not tech-savvy, especially when assigning specific USB devices. It would be helpful if the documentation for new users was a bit more simplified.

    Aster Software

    Date: Feb 17 2026

Summary: I didn't have any problems after installing, but after using Aster, I was surprised at how well it works. No problem at all

Positive: Easy To Use. Very good compatibility with most software. ASTER does not require a powerful PC, unlike a VM, it is easy to set up - just drag the icon to the right place and despite the fact that the license is paid, the savings on hardware will completely cover the cost of the license. Moreover, the savings on electricity will be long-term and only it will fully pay off the license. Good support that responds promptly and helps with any problems that arise!

Negative: I didn't notice any disadvantages for myself in this program, everything is fine.

    Aster in a home environment

    Date: Dec 20 2025

Summary: I like Aster, I would recommend it to anyone who has a moderate to high performance PC as it allows you and your team to multitask seamlessly for the tasks that really matter.

Positive: I like how seamless ASTER makes sharing my computer with family members for doing school work simultaneously. I appreciate that it solves the problem of having to buy additional computers, especially when the whole household needs to go online for various things such as studying, writing emails, exploring, and even playing games. This is especially noticeable when my father does his work documenting, he is a landscaper and does not know a lot about computers, so me being able to emulate having his own desktop works super well and Aster makes the managing of accounts very easy. I like that ASTER allows me to get my money's worth out of the hardware I already have without needing individual computers for everyone in my household. The ability to set up multiple profiles on my system is particularly helpful. The initial setup was very easy, and familiarizing myself with the user interface was fast. Their customer support is also really helpful if you need a question answered.

Negative: Aster is not widely recognized by applications and can set off red flags if used in the wrong application.

ASTER Turned Our Single PC into Two

    Date: Dec 12 2025

Summary: I love using ASTER because it allows my brother and me to have two separate profiles on two different monitors using the same PC. This is fantastic as it feels like having two different PCs just by adding an additional monitor, keyboard, and mouse, so there's no need to buy an extra CPU. It's very simple to use, and once everything is set up, I don't have to do it again and again, plus it doesn't lag. What stands out is how easy it is to switch setups or adjust things if needed, and the interface is very easy to understand. The initial setup was super easy and user-friendly; it didn't take me a lot of time to understand.

Positive: 1. Lets two people use one PC at the same time.
    2. Saves a lot of money since there’s no need to buy a second computer.
    3. Easy to use once everything is set up.
    4. Works smoothly for everyday tasks and even light gaming.
    5. Doesn’t interfere with other software.

Negative: I think if someone doesn't know anything or is literally not 1% techy, then they will have to watch videos to set it up at first.
