I love using Freedcamp for my NPO! Date: Mar 31 2026
Summary: I highly recommend using Freedcamp. I also admire their NPO program, as it allows for non-profits to professionalize their processes in a way that no other management tool currently does. 10/10!
Positive: The features are very easy to understand and use. They also integrate a lot of features, which allow my organization to do in one app what it used to do in multiple ones. I particularly like the project management tools!
Negative: Some features might be a bit easier to be used. For instance, when assigning a task, it might be easier if I can just click on a box and start writing, instead of having to click on "edit task" before doing so. However, this is such a small thing - and so easy to get accustomed to - that it doesn't harm the experience in the slightest.

Really Helpful for a non-profit Date: Mar 06 2026
Summary: Freedcamp is a very capable project management service, especially with offering free/discounted plans for Non-profit organizations.
Positive: Freedcamp has a very clean modern interface that is easy to use. Our board has a very diverse technical level of ability, and we found Freedcamp easy to use, even for the most, technically challenged of us.
Negative: Initial setup takes a bit, but this really isn't different from most project management apps. There is always a learning curve. There are some file size limits and advanced features that are locked behind various tiers, but that currently didn't really effect us in any way

Freedcamp for Small Nonprofit Teams Date: Mar 05 2026
Summary: Our nonprofit's communications committee uses this to manage social campaigns, newsletter production, design tasks, and email marketing. We tried Trello but switched to Freedcamp. The UI of Freedcamp was nicer and it felt like a better fit. Before this we relied on email threads and Google Docs, which made it hard to stay organized. Good option for any small team that needs to stay on top of tasks without a lot of setup.
Positive: Very easy to get started with and intuitive to learn — our team picked it up right away. We can assign tasks, set due dates, and everyone knows what they're working on. We like being able to comment and attach files directly to tasks, and having separate boards for each area keeps everything from getting mixed together. Visually it's nicely designed and easy to see what you need and get to what you need.
Negative: Hard to think of any cons for a team of our size and needs.

Best Project Management Tool for Nonprofits Date: Feb 26 2026
Summary: We as a nonprofit were looking for some tools which was affordable, but also feasible to use. Freedcamp met our expectations, and much more. I would recommend Freedcamp to anybody.
Positive: Freedcamp is an all in one software. They have many hidden features including synchronization to Google suites, CRM, and even a Passwords manager. Rather than have multiple products for different things, Freedcamp allows everything to be in one place.
Negative: I feel like the UI can be a bit better. Also, we keep getting notifications every single day regarding what tasks are needed to be done, but customizable notifications would be very beneficial for us.

Nonprofit loves for freedcamp Date: Feb 23 2026
Summary: I have used freedcamp at a previous nonprofit and when I came to my current nonprofit and we needed a project management tool this is what I suggested. I believe it flows better and functions better for task management than some other tools out there. I like the ability to add teams to various projects and the front dahsboard to see all projects at once. I recommend it for project management at all levels!
Positive: I like the structure of the projects and tasks. Adding people to different groups and projects at different levels of access is also helpful.
Each task being able to get a timeframe, responsible party, priority and even subtasks works great for managing our projects. There are so many features that is it a very robust tool and wonderful for teams of all sizes.Negative: If someone has not used a project management tool before I think it takes a bit to learn. I do wish there were a few more tutorials for those staff. I also think sometime navigation is not always super intuitive.

Great for a non-profit Date: Jan 28 2026
Summary: We are extremely grateful for the ongoing donation of the business plan of this great software to our charity. It has enabled us to expertly manage our tasks without diverting funds from our beneficiaries.
I've made feature suggestions on UserVoice and been delighted when they have been implemented.Positive: Cloud-based, with web and app versions. Lots of features, modules and customisations. We can use one system for event organisation, software bug tracking and task management.I've found being able to define our own task statuses very helpful for working with volunteers. For example, I created 'started but stalled' as an variation of an open task and 'redundant' as an alternative to marking a task as done or deleting it. It's more realistic and accurate
Negative: Setting up user's permissions for various projects can be confusing.

It doesn't seem to remember my task filter settings. I have to click 'Hide completed' every time I open a project. -

Non-Profit Service Club Date: Dec 10 2025
Summary: Project Management Solution Review: Freedcamp for Service Club Events
Hyannis Rotary Club's Experience with Freedcamp
As Webmaster and IT Coordinator for the Hyannis Rotary Club, a service organization with over 100 years of community impact , I am pleased to share our experience implementing Freedcamp project management software.
Our Event
Since the late 1960s, our club has hosted an annual Home and Lifestyle Show as our primary fundraising initiative. This two-day event, held at our local high school, attracts between 3,000 and 5,000 visitors and features:
Approximately 130 local vendor booths of various sizes
Community and non-profit organization participation
Educational workshops
Food concessions
Corporate sponsorship opportunities
All proceeds support local community programs and initiatives.
The Challenge
Traditionally, event planning has been the responsibility of the President-Elect, a position that rotates annually. This structure created significant challenges in knowledge transfer between leaders, resulting in stress and potential gaps in continuity. Our reliance on spreadsheets for project management proved cumbersome and difficult for an event of this complexity.
The Solution
After extensive research into project management platforms, I selected Freedcamp for its comprehensive features and great non-profit pricing. I soon realized that we would need the Business Plan tier which provides many features including:
Task lists and sub-tasks
Kanban boards
Gantt charts
Milestone tracking
Time tracking
Collaboration tools
CRM and issue tracking
and much more
Experience so far
Freedcamp generously provided a two-month free trial period, after which we plan to transition the paid subscription. This year, I configured our entire Home Show planning process within Freedcamp, running it parallel to our traditional methods to facilitate a smooth transition for next year's event.
The learning curve proved manageable through hands-on exploration, and the platform's intuitive design made setup straightforward. When challenges arose, I successfully used AI assistance when needed.
My Impressions and Recommendation
While I continue to explore Freedcamp's full feature set, the improvement over our previous methods is substantial. I am confident the initial time investment in system setup will yield significant time savings and reduced stress for future event chairs. This will make the role more manageable and help us recruit future event chairs with confidence.
I strongly encourage fellow Rotarians and other non-profit organizations managing complex events to consider Freedcamp. There are various subscription tiers to fit your needs.
Jurgen Craig-Muller Webmaster/IT Coordinator Hyannis Rotary Club Hyannis, MAPositive: Pricing for Non-Profits, We needed the business plan, got a generous trial period. The software is cloud based, straightforward and very comprehensive . Able to set up as a "newbie" by myself with AI help. Should save us a lot of time for our next yearly big fundraising event. Give it a look
Negative: Nothing really, every Project Management software initially is a little intimidating

MAVISZ Freedcamp Review Date: Nov 02 2025
Summary: Freedcamp is an excellent choice for teams looking for a simple, intuitive, and effective project management solution. It helps bring order and visibility to day-to-day operations, making collaboration and task tracking much easier. Though it may lack some advanced features found in enterprise-level tools, its usability, reliability, and great value make Freedcamp a standout option — especially for small to mid-sized organizations.
Positive: Freedcamp is an incredibly user-friendly and flexible project management platform that brings clarity and structure to daily workflows. It’s especially valuable for young and growing organizations, offering a simple yet transparent way to manage projects, tasks, and deadlines in one place. Collaboration has become smoother, communication clearer, and overall efficiency has noticeably improved since we started using it.
Negative: While Freedcamp covers the essentials extremely well, there’s still potential for improvement in areas like reporting and analytics. Larger teams or more complex projects might miss some advanced automation options and deeper customization features. Expanding its range of integrations with other popular tools could also make the platform even more seamless and versatile.

The Essential Project Management Tool Date: Sep 15 2025
Summary: My overall experience with Freedcamp has been excellent. It’s become the backbone of how we manage projects and I honestly don’t know how we’d stay as organized without it. It gives us structure, accountability, and a single place where everything lives; tasks, discussions, policies, and even issues that pop up. It’s not just software we use; it’s part of our daily workflow, and it has genuinely made us more efficient as a team.
Positive: What I really like about Freedcamp is how it keeps everyone accountable without making things complicated. The task assignments and milestone tracking give us a clear picture of who’s responsible for what, and the time tracking is simple but effective. The built-in discussions make a huge difference, we don’t lose important conversations in email anymore, everything stays tied to the project. I also like the Wiki feature because it gives us one place to store policies and project info that anyone on the team can pull up when they need it. The issue tracker is another big plus, it helps us log problems as they come up, assign them, and follow them through until they’re actually resolved. For me, it’s the mix of accountability, organization, and transparency that makes Freedcamp stand out.
Negative: Honestly, there isn’t much I dislike. Every tool we’ve tried has its quirks, but with Freedcamp I haven’t run into anything that feels like a real drawback. The features we use work the way we need them to.

Great value for small businesses! Date: Sep 15 2025
Summary: As a small business manager of a nonprofit art supply store, I wear many hats throughout an average work day, as do our employees. I was struggling to track all that was delegated over the course of a day, week, etc. and it was important to me to be able to consider each team member's energy and capacity. I needed a bird's-eye view off all that had been communicated and was in progress, a way to quickly review tasks in progress and projects underway without relying on my memory constantly. Freedcamp has proved up to the challenge!
Positive: Utilizing Freedcamp to track team projects, meeting agendas, routine tasks, and one-off tasks has provided clarity and accountability for our team. It's also a great place for project planning, easy delegating, and status updates.
Negative: Lacks Gantt chart capability at lower tiers. The breadth of tools and different views can be overwhelming for new users, though they provide a lot of customization and flexibility.

Best To-Do and Project Management Program Date: Aug 22 2025
Summary: Freedcamp is a great project management tool! Using Freedcamp has changed the way I work on my own and together in the team. I highly recommend it!
Positive: I particularly like the daily email update, which gives me a clear overview of all my to-dos. The structure of the subtasks is extremely clear and makes it easy to keep track of even complex projects. I find the option to flexibly adjust the status of tasks at any time particularly useful—this way, the whole team always knows where we stand.
Negative: There is no real "con". Always when I am looking for any function or missing something, I search for it and find how to applicate in within Freedcamp - because from my point of view it has everything.

Summary: Overall, I found it the best and most affordable option of the many softwares I tried. I will continue to use it well into the future.
Positive: I found Freedcamp to be very intuitive and I love the outlook integration that allows me to save emails as comments to easily find my zoom links or info needed for a project without having to scour my inbox! I tried many other platforms that were much more costly but didn’t integrate as nicely before I settled on Freedcamp. It’s fast, easy, and keeps me organized for sure!
Negative: Mobile app lacks bells and whistles- but has basic functions

A Simple Yet Powerful Tool for Team Projects Date: Jul 07 2025
Summary: Overall, I had a really good experience using this software. It helped me save time and made my workflow more efficient. While there’s some room for improvement, especially in terms of feature access, I’d still recommend it to others, especially small teams or solo users who want something straightforward and effective.
Positive: I really liked how intuitive and easy to use the interface was. Even if you’re not super tech-savvy, you can get the hang of it pretty quickly. The features are well-organized and everything feels smooth. Customer support was also very responsive and helpful, which is a big plus for me.
Negative: One thing I didn’t like is that some features felt a bit limited unless you upgrade to a paid plan. Also, the initial setup took slightly longer than expected, and a few parts of the documentation could be clearer.
