Foothold Description

Over 25 years ago, one of our founders was working as the IT Director of a large behavioural health and residential services agency in New York. Sensing a need for a better way to track and report on their services, he developed a case management system for his agency. Over time, two other agencies joined in and helped expand the software so that it could serve the needs of virtually any human services agency in the country.

Today, Foothold’s team and our software support hundreds of agencies across the nation, in Guam, and in Puerto Rico. With our technology expertise and roots in human services, we continue to empower agencies to focus on their missions.

    Summary: I could go on and on about the benefits of Foothold's Awards program. It is very easy to use. Change is hard for everyone and my staff was nervous about it but all migrations (for many program) couldn't have been easier. Of great importance to me was the tech support. I never have to wait to address a question or to get clarification. The software has actually made the management of my agencies, much easier. I have explored areas of productivity that I never thought was possible. Everything we need to provide services is easily in one place. We have successfully used Awards in various applications and it has been successful with each.

    Positive: - Ease of use.
    - Very fast tech support turnaround.
    - Ease and ability to customize.
    - Works well with state contracted programs.
    - Frequent new features and updates.
    - Numerous reporting features which support individual staff and support management.

    Negative: At this point we have no issues with this software.

    Summary: We are especially pleased that AWARDS not only supports set up and training of staff on the system, but provides us with a long term, ongoing support specialist who continues to help us make the best use of the system in our work. Foothold Technology is not a transactional enterprise, they are a real partner in human services!

    Positive: AWARDS is an easy to use, comprehensive tool designed for human services organizations. We spent years researching options and carefully considering the move from paper to digital, and finally selected AWARDS. In addition to the program having a wide array of important features (including outcomes reporting), it is affordable, can be easily customized and the customer service and support of the Foothold team is superb!

    Negative: Not the fault of the software, but as we are located in Massachusetts we have specific document requirements that were preset in AWARDS. Our required paperwork limited us slightly in making full use of the AWARDS platform.
