XIM Audio offers music-production datasets that are available for licensing to teams involved in the development or research of audio AI technologies. Their extensive catalog features a variety of resources, such as DAW sessions crafted by producers, printed stems, synchronized vocal and instrumental pairs, MIDI files, synthesizer presets, loops, instrumentals, stock tracks, and instructional sessions. Each dataset page provides detailed descriptions of the contents along with the associated rights status; licenses can be tailored for either research purposes or commercial training, typically defaulting to non-exclusive use, while exclusive arrangements can be negotiated separately. Creators maintain ownership of their work and benefit from a share of each licensing agreement. All deliveries come with a manifest and a datasheet, ensuring that the data remains anonymized. This catalog facilitates a wide range of applications, including music generation, stem separation, transcription, sound design, mixing, and research into DAW assistance. Importantly, the audio assets are sourced from the private collections of producers rather than from public streaming platforms. Teams interested in these datasets have the option to request an evaluation set and a quote prior to finalizing any licensing agreements. This approach ensures that interested parties have a clear understanding of the available resources and can make informed decisions based on their specific needs.
