Description
TabCaptain serves as a tab management tool for macOS Safari, aimed at simplifying the organization and handling of numerous open tabs. With its unique interface, the application offers a comprehensive overview of all Safari tabs and windows, enabling users to swiftly locate their desired pages without the hassle of navigating through various browser windows.
The functionality includes the ability to search for open tabs by either their titles or URLs, as well as the sorting and grouping of tabs by their respective websites, which helps users quickly identify duplicates and find tabs that are currently playing audio. Users can also pin frequently accessed pages for quick retrieval, while lesser-used tabs can be set to hibernate, reducing clutter.
Additionally, TabCaptain features session management, allowing users to save specific tab groups for future use, facilitating the restoration of recently closed tabs, windows, and tab groupings directly from the application. By making it easier to revisit prior browsing sessions, the app enhances the overall user experience.
Designed exclusively for Safari, TabCaptain seamlessly integrates with the browser rather than acting as a standalone replacement. This makes it a valuable resource for anyone who regularly navigates multiple tabs, such as developers, researchers, and students, all of whom can benefit from its streamlined functionality. Overall, the app fosters a more organized and efficient browsing experience.

WebPositive, commonly referred to as Web+, serves as the native web browser for Haiku. The name pays homage to BeOS' straightforward NetPositive while also highlighting its contemporary backbone: the WebKit. This open-source HTML rendering engine powers several popular browsers, including Safari for Mac OS X and Google's Chrome. By leveraging the continuously updated WebKit, Web+ is equipped to adapt to the latest advancements in web technologies. The user interface of WebPositive is designed to be intuitive: beneath a menu bar lies a navigation bar featuring buttons to revisit previous and subsequent sites in your browsing history, a stop button to halt page loading, and an optional button to return to your home page. Additionally, a status bar at the bottom of the window displays the URL of the currently loading site or the link under the mouse cursor. During page loading, a progress bar appears on the right side, providing users with a visual indication of the load status, enhancing the overall browsing experience. Overall, WebPositive combines functionality and user-friendly design to offer an efficient web surfing solution.
