surf Description

surf is a web browser that uses WebKit2/GTK+. It can display websites and follow hyperlinks. It supports the XEmbed protocol, which allows you to embed it into another application. You can also point to another URI through its properties. Click on links to navigate. To enter a new URL, press Ctrl+g. Or, you can expect to go mad. The packaging of webkit can be described as insane. Surf uses webkit2gtk upstream stable by default. However, the older version based upon webkit1gtk can still be downloaded as a branch. surf is actively being developed. You can search its source code repository and get a copy using the simple commands. Adblocking is not an easy task, but there are simple solutions. You can reuse the gethostszero file to create the /etc/hosts directory. You can use cronjob to update the file and run hostsgen again.
