Description
Ritemark is a free and open-source Markdown editor designed for both macOS and Windows users. It saves documents as standard files within the user's file system, featuring a visual interface to facilitate Markdown editing. The application includes an AI sidebar that utilizes Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode agents, allowing them to access, generate, and modify documents in real-time alongside the user. Additionally, it offers a built-in terminal and folder-based workspaces, which enhance both writing and research processes. Users have the option to export their work to formats like Word or PDF, as well as to publish or synchronize their documents with Google Docs. While basic editing functions can be utilized without creating an account or incurring AI service fees, engaging AI agents may necessitate a separate account or incurred API costs. Ritemark is particularly beneficial for a variety of writers—ranging from technical writers and product managers to consultants and other professionals—who are tasked with creating documentation, specifications, training resources, and materials intended for clients. The flexibility and array of tools in Ritemark make it a versatile choice for anyone involved in content creation and management.
Description
In this concise guide, we present an R package called blogdown, designed to help you create websites utilizing R Markdown and Hugo. If you have previous experience in website creation, you might wonder about the advantages of using R Markdown and how blogdown sets itself apart from widely used platforms like WordPress. Unlike many traditional options, blogdown generates a static website composed solely of static files, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and images, among others. This type of website can be hosted on virtually any web server, as detailed in Chapter 3. Unlike WordPress, it doesn't rely on server-side scripts such as PHP or databases, simplifying the process to just one folder filled with static files. The content of the website is generated from R Markdown documents, but it's worth noting that using R is not mandatory; plain Markdown documents can also be utilized without R code chunks. This approach offers significant advantages, particularly for websites focused on data analysis or programming in R, making it a valuable tool for developers and data scientists alike. As a result, blogdown opens up new possibilities for creating efficient and effective web content.
