Description
RapidPlan gives traffic planning teams a professional desktop workspace for turning site information into clear, job-ready traffic control plans. Built for roadworks, construction, utilities, events, public works, and traffic management projects, it helps teams move faster from layout preparation to review without depending on complex CAD workflows.
Instead of building every plan manually, users can work directly over aerial imagery and integrated mapping, bring in external map sources, and generate road layouts more efficiently. RapidPlan also includes purpose-built traffic planning tools, searchable sign and device libraries, regional content, reusable templates, measurement tools, custom signs, CAD import/export, batch export, manifest tools, and cloud-based sharing through Invarion Cloud.
For traffic control companies, contractors, road authorities, local government teams, and field operations teams, RapidPlan supports a more consistent planning process. It helps reduce repetitive drafting, improve plan presentation, and create professional outputs that are easier to review, revise, and share.
RapidPlan is backed by Invarion’s customer service and onboarding support, including 24/5 technical support, tutorial videos, live training, customer success assistance, email and phone support, demo support, and a 14-day money-back guarantee for new desktop customers.
Description
SCOOT operates as an advanced proactive system that modifies traffic signal settings in real-time to accommodate vehicles approaching intersections. In contrast, alternative systems rely on data from departing traffic, which results in timing changes that are often implemented too late to achieve optimal effectiveness. At the core of SCOOT lies an online traffic simulation model that evaluates a variety of potential timing adjustments in real-time, selecting the most efficient option. Other systems typically make modifications based on set parameter thresholds, such as traffic volumes or the number of arrivals on green, which restricts them to a single potential adjustment without prior effectiveness testing. SCOOT, on the other hand, consistently optimizes cycle length, splits, and offsets with each cycle by executing small, controlled modifications. Many alternative systems opt for larger adjustments on a much longer schedule, sometimes up to every 10 minutes, and some do not even optimize cycle length at all. Consequently, these other systems are significantly less adept at responding to the rapidly fluctuating conditions of traffic. This responsiveness makes SCOOT particularly advantageous in urban environments with dynamic traffic patterns.
