Description

The Presearch Privacy Browser is driven by Presearch and enables users to search not only Presearch but also several other search engines by default, with the flexibility to include additional ones of their choice. Presearch operates as a decentralized and community-driven search engine that enhances results while ensuring user privacy and offering rewards for searches performed. Community involvement is encouraged through various channels, such as participating in chat groups, contributing to the open source code repository, or simply promoting the platform to increase its visibility and usage. Currently, Presearch is on the verge of launching its inaugural decentralized technology, which consists of a novel search engine experience powered by node servers managed by members of the Presearch community. This innovative approach not only yields superior search results but also emphasizes privacy protection, as the platform refrains from tracking users or retaining search histories, with queries processed by a network of decentralized node servers that maintain user anonymity. As Presearch continues to evolve, it aims to further enhance the search experience while fostering a strong sense of community among its users.

Description

The VGG Image Search Engine (VISE) is an open-source software solution that enables visual searching through extensive image collections by utilizing image regions as queries. This software is crafted and sustained by the Visual Geometry Group (VGG) within the Department of Engineering Science at Oxford University. It is published under a license that permits limitless use in both academic research and commercial industries. To foster a dynamic open-source community around VISE, we actively invite contributions and participation in its ongoing development. Users can engage with the project by reporting bugs, enhancing documentation, introducing new functionalities, or refining existing ones through merge requests. The Visual Geometry Group commits to the continued development, maintenance, and support of VISE until at least November 2025. Furthermore, users are encouraged to share their questions or report any challenges they encounter with the VISE software via our GitLab issues portal, thereby helping us create a more robust platform.
