Description
OpenSpace3D offers two key augmented reality techniques for developing AR applications: one for marker detection, which identifies images via the camera, and another for Aruco fiducial marker detection, enabling rapid applications using multiple markers that also serve as a tangible interface. It supports a variety of devices, including Google Cardboard, HTC Vive, Oculus, Leap Motion, and numerous other affordable or professional systems, such as Quad Buffer Rendering and VRPN, ensuring your application is VR compatible. You can import and position 3D models from over 40 supported file formats, including FBX and 3DS, and manipulate your objects by adding, cloning, or moving them while setting parameters for physics behavior and animations. With more than 160 functions, referred to as "PlugITs," users can mix and match these features to bring nearly any concept to life. The platform's intuitive event-to-action system makes it accessible for users of all skill levels, allowing anyone to dive into the world of AR and VR development. By leveraging these tools, developers can create immersive experiences that engage and captivate users.
Description
The Unity XR SDK is designed for advanced users interested in creating their own XR providers compatible with the Unity platform. To obtain the XR SDK, you need to register for access on the designated page. This SDK enables various backends, referred to as "providers," to implement a unified engine feature known as a "subsystem" within Unity. During runtime, user applications have the capability to choose and activate these providers. A subsystem descriptor serves as the metadata for a subsystem, which can be reviewed prior to the loading or initialization processes. This information is derived from a manifest file and can be accessed through a C# interface. Additionally, a Create method is utilized to activate the subsystem and supply an instance for the user’s code to leverage. This functionality allows for greater flexibility and customization in XR development.
