Description

OlympSSH Commander is a desktop application designed for both Windows and Linux that streamlines the management of SSH servers and Docker containers in a single interface. This tool caters to developers, system administrators, and self-hosters who prefer to avoid the hassle of subscription services, cloud accounts, and costly enterprise pricing just to oversee their servers effectively. Notable features include: - Support for managing multiple servers with unlimited terminal tabs (Pro version) - Control over Docker containers: options to start, stop, restart, and access logs - Compatibility with Docker Compose workflows - Ability to create custom command templates and snippets - Server monitoring capabilities complete with alerts - Operates fully offline following a one-time activation There is no requirement for cloud synchronization, mandatory accounts, or ongoing subscriptions. Users pay a one-time fee and can utilize the software indefinitely, with each license allowing up to three activations. Additionally, a free tier is offered that imposes no time restrictions and includes one server profile, a single SSH terminal, basic server monitoring, as well as the ability to view the status of Docker containers. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking essential features without any financial commitment.

Description

PuTTY serves as a free software solution for SSH and Telnet on both Windows and Unix systems, also functioning as an xterm terminal emulator. This client application supports protocols including SSH, Telnet, Rlogin, and SUPDUP, which facilitate remote sessions on computers over a network. Essentially, it operates from the client side of these sessions, where users can view and interact with the remote system. For instance, if you launch PuTTY on a Windows device and establish a connection to a Unix server, a window will open for you. Any commands you enter in this window are transmitted directly to the Unix machine, and the responses from the server will appear in the same window. Consequently, it allows you to operate on the Unix system as if you were physically present at its terminal, even though you could be located in a different place entirely. Additionally, PuTTY permits users to save their configurations in named session profiles, while also giving them the option to modify the default settings that apply to new connections. This flexibility makes it a versatile tool for managing remote sessions effectively.
