Description
Lighting can be a challenging subject to master, and even after gaining knowledge, executing effective lighting plans can be a cumbersome task. Interior designers, architects, and kitchen and bath designers often seek to manage their lighting designs independently, yet they may lack the essential technical expertise and the time required for intricate calculations. LightCalc was developed to address these challenges effectively. With this innovative tool, there is no need for extensive mathematical knowledge! It utilizes readily available information from designers, such as ceiling height, room dimensions, counter height, and color schemes. Once this data is inputted, LightCalc efficiently calculates the ideal footcandle levels and fixture spacing, while also recommending a ceiling layout for the lighting fixtures. Designers will appreciate the intuitive point-and-click interface, along with the visual representations that illustrate the impact of the lighting design. This user-friendly program empowers designers to create tailored lighting solutions with ease and confidence.
Description
Vizbase is an AI rendering platform for architects, interior designers, and design studios. Users can upload views from popular design software like SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, or Blender, as well as hand sketches. The platform intelligently identifies elements such as walls, floors, joinery, furniture, and fixtures within the uploaded scene, allowing users to specify materials for each component through straightforward language, reference photos, or a diverse library boasting over 2,000 materials. After processing, it generates a photorealistic render that aligns with the user's design vision. There are four distinct rendering modes available, including Gen 2.0, which is closest to the original image, and Gen 4.0, which enhances the scene with realistic lighting and materials. Additionally, the Refine mode allows adjustments to specific areas of a completed render, while the Multiview feature carries an approved look across various camera angles, with export options supporting resolutions up to 8K. The platform includes a native SketchUp plugin compatible with SketchUp 2021+ on both Windows and macOS, enabling direct rendering from the model itself. Operating entirely in the browser means there's no need for additional render engines or GPUs, and users enjoy full commercial rights to the rendered images. A free plan is available, offering 5 credits (up to 10 renders) without requiring a credit card, making it accessible for those looking to explore its capabilities.
