The preparation module utilizes liquid raw materials to create more than 100 samples daily, with the user controlling the order of material additions. Once prepared, these samples can be transferred to the application module, where the coatings are applied to substrates using BYK Bird Bar film applicators. A non-contact spectrophotometer captures wet color and opacity measurements, while this module is also equipped with tools for assessing tinter compatibility, rheology, and film thickness. In just one day, the application module is capable of producing 400 films. Once these films have cured, they can be further analyzed using the analysis module, which includes a standard contact spectrophotometer, a balance for weighing, and a laser profilometer to measure thickness and optical properties. This comprehensive module also processes 400 applied films each day, ensuring thorough examination of the coated samples. The entire system streamlines the development process, enhancing efficiency and precision in coating formulation and testing.
