Description
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite navigation system created by the United States Department of Defense and overseen by the United States Air Force 50th Space Wing. As the sole fully operational global navigation satellite system (GNSS), it is accessible at no cost to users worldwide and is particularly popular among civilians for navigation. It relies on a network of 24 to 32 satellites in medium Earth orbit that send out precise radio signals, enabling GPS devices to ascertain their location, time, and speed. Officially designated as NAVSTAR GPS, it has been in full operation since April 27, 1995, and has since evolved into an essential navigation resource globally. Beyond navigation, GPS is extensively utilized in map creation, land surveying, commerce, scientific research, monitoring activities, and recreational pursuits like geocaching, highlighting its versatility and importance in modern society.
Description
Introducing an advanced identification system, this solution streamlines Student Management by efficiently handling tasks such as attendance tracking, parental notifications, and school bus operations. Operating entirely on cloud-based storage, it utilizes GSM/GPRS networks for seamless data transmission. The setup is user-friendly, requiring only a few communication devices and smart cards, while the rest is managed through the Transight Cloud. Key components include MIFARE Identity Cards, Radio Frequency Card Readers, and GNSS/GPS Transight Modems, all of which facilitate remote management. Radio Frequency Card Readers will be positioned at the entrances of school buses, allowing each student to scan their smart card upon boarding and disembarking. This information, accompanied by bus and location data, is promptly relayed to the Transight Cloud via the GNSS/GPS Transight Modems, ensuring real-time tracking and management of student safety. Furthermore, the integration of these technologies not only enhances operational efficiency but also promotes a safer environment for students during their commutes.
