Description
Using GitHub Classroom simplifies the process of managing and organizing your classes efficiently. With a user-friendly dashboard, you can easily keep track of assignments, automate grading, and provide assistance to students when they encounter difficulties, all while utilizing GitHub, a widely recognized tool in the development industry. This automation allows educators to concentrate more on teaching rather than administrative tasks. Save valuable time by implementing automated testing for grading; tests are executed with every submission, enabling students to receive instant feedback and make necessary adjustments. You can request modifications, leave comprehensive comments, or provide detailed feedback, addressing specific lines of code. Moreover, you can identify when students face challenges and assist them in reverting to previous versions using version control features. For collaborative assignments, GitHub allows you to monitor each student’s unique contributions, offering unprecedented insight into their efforts. Automatically assign tasks to students and let automated testing handle the heavy workload, ensuring a smoother teaching experience. You can create both individual and group assignments, equip them with starter code, and distribute them effortlessly to students, enhancing the learning experience. This streamlined approach not only promotes engagement but also fosters a deeper understanding of coding practices among students.
Description
Specgit serves as a collaborative visual editor designed for teams working together on GitHub. It simplifies the Git process, allowing product managers, UX researchers, technical writers, and other collaborators to compose and format documents in a user-friendly interface akin to traditional document editors. Each time a document is saved, it is committed under the writer's GitHub username, enabling real-time editing and the ability to leave inline comments among teammates. Once a document is finalized, specgit facilitates the creation of a pull request for engineers to examine directly within GitHub. The review process involves reading the entire document and providing feedback, while the triage function addresses these comments and resolves discussion threads. Changes to any document only occur after receiving explicit approval. Additionally, specgit can be integrated with Obsidian vaults, preserving the original formatting of saved files. GitHub remains the ultimate source of truth, and specgit does not store duplicates of documents or comments. The Free plan allows access to one repository and up to five publishes each month without requiring a credit card, while the Pro subscription is priced at $8 per editing seat monthly, with free access for viewing and commenting. This structure ensures that teams can collaborate effectively while managing their documentation workflow seamlessly.
