Description

Excavator is a lightweight mining application created and officially endorsed by NiceHash, offering impressive hashrate capabilities without any fees, which sets it apart from other third-party mining solutions that typically impose a 1% development charge. It employs a unique mining protocol that minimizes complications with routers and firewalls while optimizing bandwidth usage and reducing latency. As an in-house developed miner, it can be relied upon due to the transparency of its creators. The software efficiently manages multiple DAG files within the GPU memory, enabling rapid transitions between them without incurring downtime. Additionally, it features overclocking options through an API, and one of its standout characteristics is its ability to revert to stock settings during DAG generation, ensuring higher stability for overclock settings. It is important to note that unstable DAG generation may lead to permanently rejected shares until a miner restart occurs. Excavator can be accessed as part of the NiceHash Miner package or downloaded separately as a standalone tool, catering to the needs of various users in the mining community. Furthermore, its ease of use and integration capabilities make it an attractive choice for both novice and experienced miners alike.

Description

The mining efficiency for Ethereum can be improved by 3-5% due to a significantly different miner code that reduces the number of invalid and outdated shares, operates at higher GPU loads, and includes optimized OpenCL code along with assembler kernels. This mining software is compatible with both AMD and nVidia graphics cards, even when used in mixed rig setups. It functions seamlessly on both Windows x64 and Linux x64 operating systems. A built-in watchdog timer monitors the GPUs regularly, restarting the miner if any GPU becomes unresponsive. Additionally, it supports memory straps for both AMD and NVIDIA cards, which can be activated using the -straps command-line parameter. To get started, simply double-click your Bat file, which will initiate the miner, execute the setx commands to configure the necessary environment variables, initialize each GPU, create the DAG file for each unit, and commence hashing. After allowing the process to run for around 20 seconds, you can press “s” to check your current hashing speed. With the miner now operational, you can relax and observe as your graphics cards generate passive income in Ethereum on a daily basis, turning your investment into a revenue-generating venture. Make sure to regularly monitor performance and adjust settings when necessary for optimal results.
