Description
Blind individuals face significant challenges when navigating websites, primarily due to their dependence on screen readers. Unfortunately, many web pages lack essential features such as alternative text for images and appropriate ARIA attributes that facilitate contextual and functional adjustments. In the absence of these crucial elements, screen readers fail to effectively assist blind users. To address this issue, DIGIaccess evaluates and assesses every image and component on the webpage, automatically adding the necessary ARIA attributes and ALT tags to enhance accessibility for visually impaired users. This tool also generates and implements ARIA attributes for various interactive elements, including drop-down menus, forms, pop-ups, icons, and buttons. Additionally, for individuals with photosensitive epilepsy, browsing the web can pose serious risks, as sudden flashes from GIFs or animations can potentially trigger seizures. To combat this hazard, DIGIaccess provides features that allow users to disable auto-playing GIFs, animations, videos, and patterns. It is noteworthy that approximately 5% of the population may experience an epileptic seizure at some point in their lives, and these conditions can affect individuals at any age. Thus, ensuring web accessibility is vital for creating an inclusive online environment.
Description
Stop writing brittle test with hard-coded CSS, waits, and XPATH selectors. Make your tests meaningful, easy to maintain, and reusable. This is because writing tests with hard-coded CSS or XPATH selectors is similar to pouring concrete on a specific UI implementation. This creates high-maintenance tests which break at the most minor changes to the UI and is difficult for humans to understand. UI-licious uses dynamic codes analysis to analyze the structure of your website. This is done using ARIA accessibility attributes and semantic HTML. It also examines the context of previous commands to determine which element should be targeted for each command. This means that even if HTML code for the UI is changed underneath the code, the test will still be valid as long the user's journey remains the same. Your website does not have to be perfect for UI-licious work.
