HostlessWP is an open-source command-line utility that allows users to deploy an existing WordPress site onto Cloudflare Workers at no cost. This tool utilizes PHP 8.3 running as WebAssembly while maintaining the site's MySQL database, which can be accessed via Cloudflare Hyperdrive or a Cloudflare Tunnel. The WordPress core, along with themes and plugins, is bundled without altering the original site, and media can be hosted on Cloudflare R2 or any compatible S3 storage solution. A preliminary setup check verifies active plugins against a tested compatibility list, and a copy of the site is deployed to a test address prior to the domain switch by the owner. The 30 most popular plugins from WordPress.org are loaded at the page level, and end-to-end testing has been conducted for WooCommerce checkout processes. Designed for both WordPress site owners and developers, HostlessWP requires Node.js version 20 or later, a Cloudflare account, access to MySQL, and an S3-compatible storage solution.
