Description
CloudAMQP is a managed cloud messaging platform that delivers hosted RabbitMQ and LavinMQ services for organizations that require reliable message queuing and event-driven communication. The platform enables developers to build scalable applications using a variety of messaging protocols, including AMQP, MQTT, STOMP, HTTP, and WebSocket-based communication. CloudAMQP provides the infrastructure needed to deploy, monitor, secure, and maintain message brokers without requiring businesses to manage servers or complex messaging environments internally. Its services support a wide range of use cases, including microservices architectures, IoT applications, distributed systems, background job processing, and real-time data exchange. The platform includes features such as monitoring dashboards, diagnostics tools, metrics collection, logging integrations, API access, networking controls, webhooks, and cloud marketplace integrations. Support for MQTT makes CloudAMQP particularly useful for connected devices and bandwidth-sensitive applications that require lightweight communication protocols. Users can also take advantage of advanced RabbitMQ and LavinMQ features such as delayed messages, federation, persistence, stream queues, and protocol bridging. Security and access management capabilities help organizations maintain control over messaging environments while supporting scalable growth. By offering managed messaging services with enterprise-grade reliability, CloudAMQP allows development teams to focus on building applications rather than maintaining messaging infrastructure.
Description
Eclipse Mosquitto is a message broker that is open source and licensed under EPL/EDL, designed to support various versions of the MQTT protocol, including 5.0, 3.1.1, and 3.1. This broker is notably lightweight, making it ideal for deployment on a wide range of devices, from low-power single-board computers to robust server systems.
The MQTT protocol itself offers an efficient way to handle messaging through a publish/subscribe architecture, which is particularly well-suited for applications in the Internet of Things, enabling communication with low-power sensors or mobile devices like smartphones, embedded systems, and microcontrollers.
In addition to the broker, the Mosquitto project also includes a C library that facilitates the creation of MQTT clients, alongside the widely used command line clients, mosquitto_pub and mosquitto_sub, which enhance user interaction with the MQTT protocol. Overall, Mosquitto serves as a versatile tool for developers aiming to implement messaging solutions in a variety of applications.
