HerdLink is an Australian company specializing in software solutions for the cattle industry. Our team is our greatest asset, composed of individuals with diverse and rich experience, particularly in the beef cattle sector. The unique skills of our design and programming teams contribute to the wide-ranging functionality and quality of our offerings. As a collaborative organization, HerdLink is dedicated to delivering top-notch technology, products, and services to our valued clients. We adhere to the philosophy of treating others as we would like to be treated ourselves. In addition to our business endeavors, HerdLink takes an active role in the local community, frequently participating in rural shows and school agricultural events, where we offer NLIS scanning and database transfer services for all cattle present. Moreover, we lend our support to local schools by providing guidance and resources for effective animal record-keeping practices, ensuring the next generation is well-equipped in agricultural knowledge. Through these initiatives, HerdLink fosters a strong connection with the community while promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Description
The inaugural product in the lineup was iCattleMgr, which was previously known as iCattleLog. Initially developed as a prototype to serve as a digital replacement for traditional handwritten logbooks used to monitor show cattle, the launch of version 1.0 on iTunes revealed a significant demand for such applications within the agricultural sector. The enthusiastic feedback we received included countless requests for new features, and we found it challenging to keep pace with the rising expectations. This experience highlighted that the original prototype structure lacked the necessary flexibility to accommodate the influx of enhancement requests. The application meticulously tracks over 90 distinct pieces of information regarding the health, welfare, and status of your livestock. Data is securely stored and backed up through iCloud, ensuring its safety at all times. Users can also attach images from their camera or photo library to each animal record, facilitating a richer information experience. Furthermore, your team can access real-time status and inventory details across multiple devices, promoting better communication and efficiency in managing livestock.
