A picture-to-text converter enables the extraction of text from images and the transformation of PDFs into Word, Excel, or text files using online Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology. This tool is capable of retrieving text and characters from scanned documents, photos, and images taken with digital cameras, accommodating multipage files. It supports various image formats, including JPG, BMP, and PNG, ensuring that the output retains the original layout of the document. Users can seamlessly convert PDF files into Word or Excel formats online. Moreover, the service allows text extraction from scanned PDFs, images, and photos without any associated costs. Files can be converted from various devices, including mobile phones (both iPhone and Android) and computers running on Windows, Linux, or MacOS. It's important to note that documents uploaded by users with a free "Guest" account will be automatically deleted following conversion, while registered users can store their output files for one month.
