    Summary: We love the product. While we struggle with getting rid of all paper, we have come pretty far. The added bonus is our regional offices can use the product without any assistance from the corporate office staff.

    Positive: For the most part, it is easy and intuitive to use. The online training is a huge bonus and has helped me figure out how to do many things.

    Negative: Some of the nodes are a little complicated and the online training is not available.

    Awesome Document Capture Automation

    Summary: Overall, we are quite happy with Global Search and Square 9. The software can do amazing things and if you need help, their tech support is very available, very quick, and things for us have always been resolved the same day. That said, I do wish we had the resources to afford a higher license level with more features. Usually, increased costs can be justified if you calculate the return on investment with time saved. Ideally, it would also be great also to have a dedicated staff person to administer the system which, in an ideal situation, would be evolving as the technology changes and also as your business changes. We would likely be further along in our implementation into more departments if we had a dedicated staff person for this task.

    Positive: We are really enjoying using Global search to rid ourselves of paper files. We also use Global Search to automate the AR process for our online payments system. The document capture workflows are very easy to set up with no programming at all in a drag and drop web browser interface. The software is constantly being updated to add new features, including AI for smart document capture

    Negative: Although I do believe we get special pricing based on our organization which is non-profit, we can only afford a single CPU license for our on-prem setup for document processing which makes things a little slow. So depending on what volumes you need to process, you can get a backlog of documents in the capture cue waiting to be processed. In an ideal situation where funds are unlimited, we would likely utilize their cloud solution with additional CPU cores and also the AI add-on for more efficient document capture.

    A vital part of our application suite

    Summary: Overall it is a time saver, I believe we aren't using it to the full potential. I am sure there are other areas where I can streamline our business when I can invest the time to document and setup the processes.

    Positive: When it is setup, it just works and without any issues or problems. It does a good job of connecting multiple scanned documents to a single output file following defined naming rules. This is our main use of it at the moment, though there are lots of additional functions and processes I would like to implement. Our users depend on it every day to save time and organize all of our packing lists, receivers and invoice information.

    Negative: I have had some connection issues to the server, but believe this to be a hardware issue on our side. It has been a while since the hardware was upgraded and I think that it has started to be unresponsive, especially after a long while between server restarts.

    The Key to our Company

    Summary: We could not be doing business with out Square 9. The amount of paperwork we would have to keep would make us have large storage spaces which would be very costly and next to impossible to search for what we needed instantly.
    We are very happy with all aspects of Square 9.

    Positive: We have to keep all of our files for 40 years and it is so much easier to be able to scan the items and have the information at our fingertips in an instant.
    Easy to use.
    Multiple search components.
    Great customer service.

    Negative: I really don't have any cons in regards to Square 9.
    Generally if we have problems its operator error.

    Summary: Very valuable piece of software between archiving documents, automating the AP approval process and all of the custom workflows that can be designed.

    Positive: Square 9s new web based solution is easy to setup and administer. Users love the new look and feel.

    Negative: The only con that we really have is that our support is administered through a 3rd party who aren't as knowledgeable about the software as Square 9 support is.

    Summary: The implementation team is very patient and thorough. The video training is very useful. The capture and action workflows are amazingly flexible.

    Positive: The document capture and action workflows combined with the forms (which we are still working on implementing) provide all the automation tool necessary to go paperless. The workflow building process can be completed by non-programmer types, but knowledge of SQL is helpful.

    Negative: Documentation on building custom DLLS to tie into workflow is a little sparse.

    Summary: Overall, I would recommend this product. With the new upgrade done to our system, our workflow process for AP documents is as efficient as ever which saves us a lot of time and money on the back end.

    Positive: The program was recently upgraded and several positive changes were made. The workflow moves much smoother and now allows for quicker troubleshooting when we have an AP invoice stuck/not moving through the flow properly.

    Negative: We have found the application could stand to be a little more user-friendly.

    Summary: Overall the product is great, with a great support team and finding a solution or alternative to an issue will keep me as a customer.

    Positive: After meeting with a team member, I was able to change my mind about S9. I had a better understanding of the features our plan provided. Their support team is great, this is what we always look for, they do not disappoint.
