AVPL employs a systematic approach to develop virtual world content, utilizing various sources such as scanned data point clouds, hand-drawn sketches, 3D Sketchup models, and models compliant with BIM standards. Collaborating closely with clients, AVPL iteratively crafts a 3D interactive model designed for real-time immersive visualization, essentially serving as a display mechanism to portray the virtual environment. The organization's philosophy is rooted in being platform and device agnostic, ensuring that the visualization methods align with the specific requirements identified by the client. Over the years, AVPL has successfully engaged with multiple system types, including 5-wall CAVE (Computed Automated Virtual Environment) systems, 4-wall CAVE systems, single wall projection setups, Head Mounted Displays (HMDs), and wearable Augmented Reality devices. By integrating high-fidelity virtual simulations with cutting-edge interactive technologies, the system enables users to acquire skills that can be seamlessly applied in real-world scenarios, eliminating the need to relearn physical interactions. Our aim is to develop adaptable, dependable, and user-centric simulation tools, emphasizing the importance of learning while allowing instructors to maintain control. Through our flagship product, XVR On Scene, we provide an array of modules that showcase the flexibility of the XVR platform. The classroom arrangement facilitates group discussions centered around a virtual scenario, enabling participants to engage in dialogues regarding incident approaches, initial reconnaissance, or making crucial deployment choices. In the individual setup, participants find themselves fully immersed in a virtual environment, with the instructor capable of modifying the scenario in response to their decisions, making it ideal for personal training or skill assessment. The team setup enables multiple participants to engage in both mono- and multidisciplinary training exercises, where one or more instructors oversee the learning objectives and role-playing scenarios. This collaborative training format effectively enhances communication and reporting skills among team members. Overall, our comprehensive simulation tools are designed to foster an engaging and effective learning experience for all users.
