Description
APITube serves as a comprehensive News API, transforming international news reports into structured JSON format. It consolidates articles from over 500,000 authenticated sources spanning more than 180 nations and available in more than 60 languages, enhancing each article with sentiment analysis, identified entities (such as individuals, organizations, places, and brands), IPTC classifications, as well as relevant topics and industries.
Developers can utilize a singular search endpoint equipped with more than 65 filtering options—such as keywords, language preferences, country of origin, source domain, quality ranking, sentiment thresholds, entity identifiers, media presence, and specific date ranges—allowing them to tailor their requests conveniently. In addition, dedicated endpoints provide access to top headlines, grouped stories, trends across various time intervals, and a live Server-Sent Events stream; new matches are automatically sent through webhooks whenever they are indexed.
Responses are primarily formatted as JSON, while paid plans allow for exports in XML, CSV, TSV, XLSX, JSONL, and Parquet formats. With a simple authentication process utilizing a single API key, a hosted MCP server also makes the same search capabilities available to AI assistants, enhancing the integration of news data into various applications. This extensive framework ensures that users have a versatile and efficient means of accessing and utilizing global news information.
Description
Our suite of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) enables programmatic access to New York Times data, allowing integration into various applications you may be developing. We aim to support a diverse array of implementations, from simple curated lists to intricate data visualizations. Instead of merely reading the news, why not delve deeper and innovate with it? Currently, the NYT offers ten public APIs, including archive, article search, books, most popular, semantic, Times Newswire, TimesTags, and top stories. While our APIs are primarily tailored for web developers, we also welcome all non-commercial users to participate. Like many organizations, we aspire to promote creativity through collaboration. By creating applications, developing mashups, and unlocking the full potential of our data, you help us understand the preferences of our readers and inspire new ways to conceptualize news and information. We are excited to see what innovative solutions you will develop for The Times. Our APIs are built using a RESTful approach with a resource-oriented design, and interactions are facilitated through HTTPS requests, ensuring secure and efficient data exchanges. Each interaction with our APIs opens up possibilities for new ideas and advancements in how we engage with journalism.
