Description
ACS Monitor is a self-hosted solution for network oversight tailored for managed service providers, IT departments, and home lab enthusiasts who desire complete authority over their information.
Its features encompass SNMP polling with support for versions v1, v2c, and v3, including custom OIDs, as well as a diverse array of 11 service monitoring types such as HTTP, ping, DNS, SSH, SMTP, TCP, FTP, POP3, IMAP, MySQL, and HTTPS. Additionally, it offers website monitoring capabilities that include SSL expiration tracking and content change detection, automated network discovery, and thresholds for consecutive failure alerts sent via email, SMS, Slack, and webhooks.
Users can take advantage of 25 different drag-and-drop dashboard widget types that are easily shareable via links. The platform also provides browser-based diagnostic tools such as ping, traceroute, port scanning, DNS lookups, SSL checks, WHOIS queries, and HTTP header analysis with real-time output. A comprehensive REST API further enhances its functionality.
There are two installation methods available: a simple one-command installer compatible with AlmaLinux, Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky, RHEL, Fedora, and Raspberry Pi OS, or a bootable ISO for dedicated virtual machines or bare metal setups. Both installation options can be completed in less than thirty minutes.
Moreover, the free tier supports monitoring for up to 100 devices without any time restrictions, making it an excellent choice for users looking to manage their networks effectively.
Description
Oversee all resources on both Linux and Windows-based dedicated or cloud servers, keeping track of URLs and monitoring SSL expiration dates, with alerts configured for any incidents. Utilize CloudStats for backing up your servers, whether to Amazon S3 or local storage solutions. Gain insights into which processes are utilizing your server’s resources and invite your System Administrators and Co-Founders to access this information with appropriate permissions. Tailor your alerts to match your requirements and ensure they reach the right members of your team. CloudStats serves as a versatile platform for monitoring websites and servers, functioning effectively with both Linux and Windows operating systems. The monitoring process involves deploying an agent on your server that gathers and transmits data to the monitoring platform every minute. Communication is secured through an SSL connection, ensuring your data is transmitted safely. To facilitate agent connections, it is essential to open Ports 443 and 80, where Port 443 handles data transmission while Port 80 manages Pings and Keepalive requests, allowing for seamless and reliable server monitoring. By leveraging these capabilities, you can maintain optimal server performance and address issues proactively.
