The Democrats are about to appoint Howard Dean as the new party chair. This is the same guy who just proclaimed
"I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for." That's good for the party idealists, I guess. However, it kind of makes it hard to get *more* votes that you need to win a national race, when you start out by saying that you *hate* 51% of the American voters. Not that any Republicans are complaining, of course, perfectly willing to accept the votes of a majority of Americans that the Democratic party chair has proclaimed hatred for.
So, in light of Dean's proclamation, we have the new Democratic party theme song.

You should find Michael Savage for real social commentary and conservative values.
See, Rush toes party (Republican) line most of the time. While Rush is often correct in evaluating political maneuverings he has lost much of his vigor for smaller government.

I tried to listen to Michael Savage. I really did. I just found the guy way too annoying to listen to. When he would stick to values and such, he was fine. It was when he would go off ranting, or ripping a caller a new hole that would just turn me off. I just couldn't take it. I tried, though. I really did...

But the willingness of so many Democrats to openly call themselves "haters," to make contempt for the other party their stock-in-trade -- that is something we haven't seen before.
