Journal 02bunced's Journal: Tsunami

Looking across the world to south Asia, I find it hard to comprehend the huge scale of human life loss. With numbers dead now at 150,000 and still expected to rise, such great quantities of death often seems to go over our heads. The tsunami reminds us that we can't control the world; the power of nature is still stronger than the power of man.

Critics have been quick to leap on the disaster as a opportunity to stake the case for there not being a God. Why would a God who loves us allow this to happen. Even for me, that is a question that is hard to get my head around.

I would say, though, that there is a God that cares; he is in the disaster. Wherever someone risks there life to save another, God shines through. He will never leave us, even in the darkest of circumstances. Praise be to him.
