Journal Theo DeRaadt's Journal: I've been cheated 1
I'm sure everyone saw the recent article here on Slashdot about the FreeBSD Core Team election fraud. I was cheated of victory, despite the fact that I have done more to contribute to the *BSD codebase than many of the other people on the ballot. I suppose this is just what people have come to expect from a software team that can't even port their OS beyond 2 minor platforms, though...
Anyway, getting past the bitterness, I do feel more fulfilled as this weekend draws to a close. While I don't have a lot of time to take out of my busy schedule of securing OpenBSD and riding mountain bikes, I did find the time this weekend to go volunteer at the local homeless shelter, on the advice of my girlfriend. I've put a picture I took while there up here on the OpenBSD site to set an example, as I think that OpenBSD developers are morally obligated to give back to their community free of charge. Please join me in this crusade against poverty.
Ah, that explains it (Score:1)

Nice to know the real story behind it though.
