Journal shadowspark's Journal: Rubik Cube Horror Story, WoW Beta anyone else out there? 3

Maybe I like reading people's stories of punishment, but I thought this posting was hilarious.

Anyway I think I'm sold on WoW. Several people from SWG land and Warcraft 3 land will be playing together, and I think the only problem with the game right now are minor and can get fixed before the launch date. I believe the game is ready for launch, and will definitely steal my time.

My current watch list:
  • At higher levels, some creatures always evade your attack.
  • Lag issues. Mind you, I'm not surprised. 500,000 sign ups, 40 servers? Yeah you'll get lag.
  • I liked how in SWG the mini map was part of the background. Maybe I've been too lazy but I really like knowing where I am and I have really bad short term memory.

    • I think most people are selecting Night Elves, or else the island you start on is getting really crowded lol :). Having similar quests is a great idea to get people started and definitely allows for mini goals that other people can understand. I would like to have a quest arrow indicator that can show me where my quest originated or where the quest would likely be found. This was set up in SWG nicely after several months where it would give coordinates. At least with WoW I don't feel (maybe it's cuz it'
      • KOTOR probably does take up more time, but i don't keep paying for it if i take a break. and i only have to pay for it once even though i spend more time on it. that's where the value comes in.

and also it's star wars, for which i have undying affection. i have forbidden myself from playing SWG because i know it wouldn't have to be very good for it to consume all of my time.
