asciimonster's Journal: Slashdot admins keep me dangling!

I've posted a poll a few weeks ago. It's still marked pending. I know that polls are held open to use in bad times, but there are limits. I also know it's a dog-eat-dog world out there and only the ones better than the best gets posted, but this anticipation is just killing me.

I understand the admins want to have a backup in post-free times. Taking into account the volume of posts nowadays this is very unlikely to happen. So just reject when you are not using it within 2 weeks. If need be, you can always re-accept the entry previously marked "rejected".

It might also be worth considdering adding a small comment as to why it was rejected. So moderators can say, "sorry, not enough room" or "Sorry, those bablefish-translated pages just cannot be read".
