So today, I'm one of 9 people in the office. Usually there are 45. Seems that the rest of those salary bastards decided to take a sick day while us hourly stiffs are in here looking like water fountains with hoses coming out of both ends. Seems that the catered lunch meeting yesterday had something a little extra added in the form of food poisoning.
I've been on or in the toilet more than my desk chair today, and I've only been at work for 2 hours. It certainly didn't help that I drank my weight (and that is a lot of weight) in alcohol this weekend, but I finished sunday at 7am so that should have little bearing on today's EvacuationFest that my body is performing for me.
I've lost 7 pounds since yesterday already. I've been drinking water non-stop, but not really keeping any down. At least now I know not to drink OJ+sprite or OJ+ginger ale while I'm sick.
I do wonder, though ... the meeting yesterday was with big-wigs in the Homeland Security Department. I wonder if it was the terrorists? Al Queda? Saddam? Michael Moore? (it's a joke, laugh)

ps. I hahate this laaptop becaause keys often nregistere as double pressed asa exemplified by this sentence. It's old and the contacts are dying so that sometimes it registers a keystroke on the press AND on the release. Every thing I type comes out looking like that first sentence and I have to play the "let's try and edit when the backspace and delete key also have the same tendancy to register twice." My spelling, on the other hand, is all my fault. Mild dyslexia + laziness = poor grammar/spelling.

  • About 3 years ago, I had a lovely bout with food poisoning caused by our friends at KFC. I ate a spicy chicken finger sandwich, which I believe they called a "Zinger" or something.

    Damn, did that thing zing!

It zinged out both ends, for about 14 hours straight.

    I lost 12 lbs.

My stomach was in iron man shape though, after all that exercise. BLAH.

feel better dude, and be glad it's only coming out the one end. (That means mildish case of FP)
    • Makes me think I should have weighed myself before and after my little bout with food poisoning (also refered to as "the reason I will never eat pineapple cake again"). It only came out one end, though (my mouth). At one point I stopped consuming even water because I was so afraid of throwing it up, which just resulted in hours of dry heaving. The vomiting/dry heaving only lasted for about 6 hours, but I was afraid to eat for two days. (I really don't like vomiting. Bile is not tasty.)
      • Oke. I have esophageal damage due to acid problems... which means that anything irritating it can have all kinds of effects. So once i start in on the throwing up, if i'm not careful, it doesn't stop. My doc has me crush up muscle relaxants in applesauce when that happens, because it's the only way. They gave me perchlorperazine ( i think) in high doses to keep it from ever starting, because it does so much harm. I get bruises along my ribs. I don't get food poisoning often, but the migraines can make me th
        • Thanks, but I'll be alright. Normally the vomitting only lasts an hour or 2 (it's basicalaly over now), it's the other end that takes the entire day. The funny part is, everyone that I know who gets food poisoning gets it a few hours after they eat. I always get it the next day. I always wake up to it. Everyone I've talked to at work was basicly over it, gut feeling the residuals and I was just starting the process.

As for the bismuth, I don't like to vomit (only evere vomitted twice from drinking and
