Hmmm... not just the loonies on the right

We lefties have been getting modbombed too. And in our own journals! I wonder who's responsible for that? My first knee-jerk inclination is to think it's some self-righteous prick of a neocon. But... maybe both sides are being trolled.

We are. The trolls are setting their sites on the JE community. Have been for a while. It's cause we're so awesome.

I've somehow not been trolled(I'm not popular enough), but a lot of other people have. Everything from mod-bombing to similarly named accounts.

They could be targetting individuals rather than JEs in general. If I go to your user page [slashdot.org] almost all of your posts are in JEs. I bet the mods are just going down the list and downmodding your first five comments.

Hey, I get mod-bombed quite frequently. The practice of mod-bombing isn't limited to conservatives - it's just a pervasive behavior in the actions of the 15 year old group thinkers that the Slashdot system is geared to select for moderating duties.

And yes, I've been modded down in my own journal. But if you're making reasonable posts that are being mod-bombed, eventually the moderator will be removed from the pool. By the way, that word you're using, "hypocrite", it doesn't mean what you think it means.
