SCO still has 30 days to wriggle. Are investors ready to sell out soon? Will the share prize plummet just after the opening "booster buying" is over?

  • I wonder if any of the Mutual Funds in my 401k have any investments in SCO?
    • That might be hard to say. If the mutual fund is actively managed, the collection of shares that it owns may change on a daily basis.
      The managers and advisers decide what to buy based on the goals for the fund (safety vs. fast growth, what industry, what market).
      If you don't want your funds to buy SCO, you should choose funds that stay out of the IT sector alltogether; a bonus would be owning no Microsoft shares either.
      "Ethical" funds are a bit of a red herring too. Ethical funds actually bought/stayed in M
      • Well, I got over half my 401k in Bonds and Short Term Investments. (I guess I was mainly proposing this as a related topic of discussion. Also, Mutual Fund Fraud has been in the news lately.)

        My provider doesn't provide an "ethical fund" although I would have liked one. Or maybe I'm thinking more of an "eco fund." Anyway, I no longer have the job so I don't think I have much say. Maybe something to ask about when I start getting interviews for real jobs.
  • SCOX fell with over 50 cents per share on monday, but it was a less dramatic fall than I anticipated.
