I was on the way to New York City this afternoon when the massive power outage hit. New Yorkers never fail to amaze me. They gave an exemplary performance today.

I was impressed on how orderly the traffic was in midtown, even without traffic lights or police officers (at some intersections anyway).

Makes me wonder if traffic lights are even necessary! People generally ignore them anyway.
