Treebeard the Ent's Journal: 5th Anniversay Coming Up

Wow! It hardly seems like it's been 5 years since my wife and I were married, but as of August 15th it will have been. So what shall we do? We live just outside of Indianapolis, IN. We have been considering driving up to Toronto for the weekend (It's about 8 hours from where I live). Anyone know of a good place to stay up there? Things to do/see? Neither of us have been to Canada yet, so we thought it would be neat.

Anyone have any better ideas?

How much do you like mountains? Cold weather? I have visited the Banff area twice in 2 years and love it. Huge mountains. Glaciers. Bears. Deer. Nice hotels (I camped, but there were there). Funny accents from people all over the world.

What isn't there to like.

But if you have the $$, check out Lake Louise in beautiful Banff National Park [pch.gc.ca].

Mmmmm... I love cold weather. People come to my house and tell me (year round) that I keep it as cold as Hoth [starwars.com]. It sounds like a really nice. It's a bit far from Indiana, but when we visit my sister-in-law in Idaho we might stay there for a few days while we are with in several hours.
