Journal Derek's Journal: Philips rejects "protected" CD's

According to this article, Philips, one of the pioneers of CD technology, is going with me on this one. They intend for their burners to function normally with protected music CDs. Also, as owners of the CD trademark, Philips is requesting that the music CDs not bear the common "Compact Disc" logo, due to conformity issues.

Memorable quote: "We worry (the labels) don't know what they're doing."
