_0x783czar's Journal: No more Mr. Monkey Boy?

Today I saw Steve Balmer on the cover of a Magazine. The headline hailed the turning over a new leaf for Bad Boy Balmer. It claimed that things have changed and that the once mocked CEO was turning the company around and making it cool again. Doubtless this is meant to coincide with the new Consumer Preview of Windows 8 and is an attempt by Microsoft to improve their image. I'll confess that I am no fan of Microsoft, and am thus a bit biased, but I can't help but roll my eyes at this ad. Microsoft's time has long passed. The company would need a major overhaul, the like of which no CEO would ever risk, to turn the tide. Their company has been playing a pathetic game of catch up and imitation for the last half decade. Other companies may not be perfect as well, but Microsoft will not get better until they are willing to admit a massive failure. I hope they do, it would be great for the computer industry, but I fear that they won't. So all I have to say to that magazine cover is:
