Journal m3573's Journal: Notes on Windowmaker - Debian powerpc

The gnome file manager, gmc, seems to work well with wmaker:, launch it the first time (from debian menu:Apps - Tools) and then save session (menu: workspace) so it gets automatically opened at each windowmaker startup. Gmc can be closed from its Command menu: exit

Many other gnome apps work well, gnumeric, gnome-terminal (better than xterm), galeon; however, gnome apps depending on gnome-session-manager seem to break wmaker - xdm configuration.

Tip: The debian and windows menus are usually accessible with 2nd and 3rd mouse buttons, but clicking on their bar and dragging them to the bottom of the screen make them accessible just by scrolling down on them and choosing the desired item: making this change permanent involves opening another copy of debian menu with the third mouse button and selecting save session from there.
